Verdict:
Finding Dory is directed by Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane. In this film, Dory is
recollecting events about her family and then this leads her to go and find her parents.
Along the way, she encounters an octopus that helps her with her quest. This was a fun
movie with Dory in the lead and if it wasn’t for her charisma and tenacity, this movie
would fall flat. The movie consists of fun and light humor. There are whales in the film
and it was great to see the whale talk return. The returning voice cast was amazing and the
new additions were also good. The movie has a lot of retreads from the first film, but it
works for the most part. Dory and Hank the octopus work great on screen. The bad of the
film is that some of the retreads aren’t nice a second time and the movie becomes
somewhat bland in the middle. There is a theme throughout that states you should never
give up on your goals and family. Finding Dory was a lightly fun sequel to Finding
Nemo that doesn’t capture the feel of the first film but is a delightful film.
